Contributed to the UX Component library by specifically working on toast notifications, when they should be triggered, what they look like, and the interaction design
Designed how users interact with importing and exporting excel files, how they will be notified of a successful upload completion, error handling, and more

UX Design Intern

May 2019 — August 2019

Worked in an Agile Scrum development environment on a 7-person multidisciplinary team to meet project deadlines and took part in biweekly agile rituals such as backlog grooming meetings and retrospectives
Designed interface and interactions for the new LLamasoft Visualizer platform using the Adobe Creative Suite
Completed research on LLamasoft’s platform notifications for a revamp of the notification system, which included an audit of their platform, a trend analysis, internal stakeholder interviews, and an executive summary of recommendations.
Presented final application at a company-wide demo to showcase the interface, application functionality, and discuss the feasibility of integration of the new dashboard visualization software in our platform
Contributed to the development process by helping front-end developers with styling in HTML/CSS.

Acted as a project manager to conduct an entire case study of the Lab’s website over the course of one semester -- from initial research on stakeholders to presenting final redesign
Ran user interviews from different audience segments to gain perspective on how the website is used, learn pain points, and potential future uses
Iterated on design and ran usability tests before deciding on final design presenting final user interface to entire Lab

UX Research Intern

Conducted interview-based user tests with site users and non-users to collect qualitative and quantitative data to identify areas in which the website and service can improve
Utilized Qualtrics to develop and distribute a survey to 100+ participants in 3 customer segments to assess the accessibility and user experience of the website
Preprocessed, cleaned, and transformed user interview and survey data in Excel, R, and SQL (sqldf) to prepare for analysis
Performed statistical analysis and ran text mining models (topic and sentiment analyses) on interview and survey data in R to interpret results and identify major drivers of strong UX
Collaborated with UX Research team to compile, organize analysis results to deploy design and accessibility recommendations
