Project Type: UX Design and Research, Visual Design, Interaction Design, Web Design

Project Overview

API Providers at Ford are concerned with finding APIs that work for them. To do this, they must register their API to the API Registry. This allows the company to collect important security information. After completing their registration through the Catalog they are then able to manage their APIs permissions and share them with product teams after publishing them to a gateway. At this point, their API will be exposed to the Catalog where API Consumers can find and use them. API Providers are also concerened with the API design process as well as the publishing process. Because of this, one of the projects I recently worked on was a new way for APIs to be published automatically through a UI rather than manually through a Postman collection. This improved our users workflow by a lot. As the designer of the Catalog, I designed the entire provider experience, from API registration to API publishing, and permission management. Scroll through the pictures below of the some of the screens that were designed to create this workflow.
